Logging Trips in Scubase®Logging trips in Scubase is optional, but very useful for capturing data pertaining to a group of dives. For example, traveling divers may want to capture information about their travel and lodging arrangements, the dive boat and the geographic area where the diving took place. Instructors and divemasters can record class information and expenses, SAR divers would want to record information about the incident. Since nearly all fields in the Trip window are user defined, the possibilities are endless. The customization and convenience features in the Trip window are similar to those available in the Dive window. The Summary and Details tabs in the Trip window present the information about the trip, such as the trip start and end and participating divers, and any additional fields and comment boxes you define. The picture shows the default design of the Trip Summary tab:
Additional user defined information about the dive is presented on the Details tab. The trip pictures can also be inserted in the Trip window and displayed on the Pictures tab. The trip start and end dates and the participating divers automatically determine the dives assigned to the trip, you do not need to select dives manually. The trip dives are listed on the Dives tab:
The columns in the dive list can be customized by the user. The Dive window for the individual trip dives can be accessed from this list.
