Printing and Web Publishing in Scubase®

Scubase® offers a sophisticated logbook printing facility. The dive and trip log pages and diver, dive site, organism and equipment reports can be printed on any size paper to fit your logbook binder. The pages will automatically reformat to best fit the specified page size and orientation. The log pages can be printed single sided or with mirroring gutters on odd and even pages to produce a double-sided logbook. Dive profile and pictures can be optionally included in the printed log.

Logbook Export in Adobe PDF Format

The formatted log pages can be exported in Adobe PDF format to be archived, shared with others or published on the Internet. The free Adobe viewer is required to view the exported pages. Below are examples of the exported log pages. Note that these are only examples, in both the printed and exported dive logs you have full control over:

• Page size and orientation
• Font face, style and size for each individual report component
• Selection and placement of dive and trip fields, including custom created fields and checkboxes
• Dive profile selection, size, colors, features and location
• Formatted comment text selection and order
• Picture selection and size

Web Site Publishing in HTML Format

A complete web site with a clickable table of contents can also be generated from the selected dives, trip reports, dive sites, marine life organisms and equipment items. No HTML experience is necessary, all necessary files including scaled pictures and dive profile charts are created automatically.

Blank Log Pages

Customized blank logbook pages can be printed to record draft dive information in the field for entering into Scubase later.

Designing Log Pages

The printed dive and trip logbook page layout can be customized using the Report Designer.

This facility allows placing the dive information fields (including custom) on the middle section of the page below the customizable page header. The dive profile chart, sightings and text comments, if selected, are placed automatically below the customized dive information in the chosen order. Individually selected pictures can be printed for each dive.
