Cyber-Strategy, Inc. is a Portland, Oregon based company founded in 1996. We develop and market our own scuba related software. We also provide custom software development services to businesses.
Alex Khain
President, Principal Developer
Alex has over 20 years of experience designing and developing software and managing software development, including three years as VP of Technology of Huxley, a start-up client/server applications company. Prior to co-founding Cyber-Strategy, he was a Staff Software Engineer at Sequent Computer Systems, co-developing a decision support system for Oracle Financials, which was later spun off into a successful venture-funded company. As one of the early employees at Vermont Creative Software, Alex was the project lead for Vermont Views, a highly esteemed multi-platform windowing software. He also worked for Intel, Sage Software, Intersolv and earlier for a military research center developing missile command systems components. At Cyber-Strategy, Alex has diverse responsibilities, including design and development, marketing, and operations management. He holds a MS in Computer Science from the Czech Institute of Technology in Prague. Alex's hobbies are scuba diving, backpacking and photography.
Olga Khainova
Founder, Principal Developer
With a successful 20-year career in the software industry Olga holds considerable experience in designing, developing and leading database software projects. She was a VP of Development of Huxley, in charge of a pioneering client/server application project. As an independent consultant, she developed database software for clients such as Mentor Graphics, SAIF Corporation and DecisionPoint Applications. At Vermont Creative Software, Olga was the project lead on a comprehensive help desk software system. She also worked for Sequent Computer Systems, University of Vermont and developed noise pollution analysis software for an environmental science firm. At Cyber-Strategy, Olga is the key designer and developer of all database components. She received a MS in Applied Nuclear Physics from the Czech Institute of Technology in Prague. Scuba diving and backpacking are two of Olga's favorite hobbies.
